The Sponsor Me tab allows anyone to make a pledge or donation towards the event participant. It may be best to offer specific amounts and allow the donor to choose from preferred amounts. Or of course, an open field is available for any dollar amount the donor would like to give. Additional customizations include accepting anonymous gifts and employee matching gifts. The donor can also leave a personal message of inspiration. Donations and personal messages made on this tab will automatically show up on the My Pledges tab.
Once this page is completed, several things happen simultaneously:
The information is captured and stored in the database, which can be viewed via a special report
The donor receives an acknowledgement by email
The event manager or website owner receives an email notification for the donation
The donors name, donation amount and personal message automatically shows up on the My Pledges tab
The user is taken to the payment page to complete the process
